THE war memorial in Beoley is to be restored to its former glory.
Bromsgrove Council has set aside £7,000 to repair seven of the district's memorials, including the one outside St Leonard's Church.
A memorial at Fairfield will also have the name of First World War soldier Rupert Rea added.
Although his past remains a mystery, records show he died at Feckenham on December 1, 1918.
Most of the work on the memorials has been completed and the rest will be done in time for Remembrance Day on November 11.
