DROITWICH travelled to Luctonians on Saturday and were well beaten by the Herefordshire side.
Droitwich took an early lead through a Matt Blackmore penalty and managed to compete in the first half.
But in the second period Luctonians' superior fitness, and it must be said, skill, showed.
The Spa side were not able to match their opposition in terms of sheer size and pace, especially in the last quarter when Lucts ran in three tries.
For Droitwich, captain Jon Andrews and back row men Gareth Knight and Nick Godfrey worked tirelessly, as did the three quarters.
But overall they were never really able to compete. Droitwich will, however, take some pride from their never-say-die spirit into the forthcoming Midlands Four West (South) campaign.
