REDDITCH police have launched an operation aimed at combating burglaries, sneak-in-thefts and bogus calls, writes Becky Procter.
Officers will be performing high visibility policing, road checks, intelligence and crime prevention messages as part of Operation Hawk Eye.
The move comes following the success of a similar operation earlier this year which resulted in a 24 per cent reduction in recorded burglaries and a 233 per cent increase in detection rates.
Anyone who sees anyone acting suspiciously or has any information about a burglary can contact Redditch police on 584888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
