A MAN needed hospital treatment after a racially aggravated attack involving about 10 Asian men near the town centre.
The 28-year-old was taken to the Alexandra Hospital with cuts, bruises and a deep laceration to his knee following the assault near the Liberal Club, Ipsley Street, between 11.30pm on Friday and 2am on Saturday.
The attackers were described as in their 20s and were seen sitting at a nearby bus stop.
Police have launched an investigation into the attack and are appealing for witnesses.
A Redditch police spokesman said although no motive had been established, the incident had been recorded as a racially aggravated assault.
