TRADERS in Bromsgrove reported a big jump in sales of American flags this week as townsfolk mourned for the victims of the terrorist attacks on North America.
Sales of the Stars and Stripes went up five times as councils, fire stations, the business community and individuals hurried to display their respects.
Catshill-based company Up the Pole in Meadow Road, reported sales had increased from around two per week to over 20 in the last week.
Nicky's Haberdashery and Fabrics in the Market Hall sold out within three days of the tragic event but is expecting more stock to arrive soon.
