BROMSGROVE'S extensive crime busting closed circuit TV system came under close inspection itself this week.
A party of councillors and officers from various authorities in south Staffordshire were in Bromsgrove on Monday on a fact-finding mission before installing cameras in their own areas.
They were greeted by members of Bromsgrove District Council who took them on a tour of the control centre.
Council leader Cllr Nick Psirides (Con, Norton) said: "They came to inspect our system, especially the monitoring service, and they were very impressed by what they saw."
There are 45 cameras in operation throughout the district.
Bromsgrove has 23, Rubery ten and there are four in Barnt Green, Alvechurch and Hagley.
