THE first half was an end-to-end aggressive contest played at a fast pace with very little chances.
The second half started with a brilliant goal when Garringtons' Simon West crossed to Dean Tilley who scored with a great finish.
This lifted Garringtons and they proceeded to put Austin under pressure. They weathered the storm through some stout defending. Austin scored a goal out of nothing from a mix-up in Garringtons defence when Steve Savage equalised.
This raised Garringtons' game and after a lot of pressure Ronnie Walker punched the ball out to West, who coolly picked his spot from 25 yards out.
West was again involved when he crossed to the back post for Ian Brown to head home from close range.
