Anna Bailey is celebrating after setting a new indoor rowing world record.
Bailey, from Hanley Swan, near Malvern, smashed the previous world record by seven seconds in the women's 50-59 years heavyweight 2000 metres event at the Birmingham Indoor Rowing Cham-ionships.
She finished in seven minutes 9.6 seconds, beating the previous best set by Merete Boldt of Denmark, and nine seconds better than her own previous British record.
Bailey, coached by Eddie Fletcher at the One on One Fitness Centre in Evesham, is now targeting success at the British Championships at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham in November.
