A ROSS Knight goal after just six minutes gave Stourport Swifts a 1-0 victory in their FA Cup replay with Unibond One side Lincoln United.

The win lines up a home clash with Dr Martens Western Division leaders Solihull Borough in the second qualifying round on September 29 as well as earning Swifts a £7,500 windfall.

Knight capped a fine display by playing a one-two with the oustanding Simon Marsh, powering through a challenge and shooting over the head of Lincoln 'keeper Steve Curry.

Had Curry not pulled off an excellent reflex save midway through the first half, Knight could have doubled his tally. But Lincoln kept battling.

Lee Booth was quiet up front for Swifts but forced Curry into another crucial save, while strike partner Nathan Harvey put a header over the bar from two yards. The second half saw Alex Cowley have a shot touched over by Curry while a Matt Southwick shot was deflected over the bar.

Swifts: Clarke 7, Knight 8 (Cooper 83), Charlton 8, Mulders 8, Davies 7, Shaw 7, Cowley 7, Nicholls 7, Harvey 6 (Southwick 67, 7), Booth 6, Marsh 9. Subs (not used): Dunn, Hipkins.

A winner two minutes from time from substitute Scott Colcombe gave Redditch United a 2-1 victory in their replay with Gresley Rovers.

Leading scorer Paul Danks gave the Reds a 26th-minute lead. Barry Woolley headed the equaliser 10 minutes from time, but Colcombe sealed a home tie with Kettering Town with a 25-yard drive into the roof of the net.

Pershore Town carried on their winning ways, 3-1 away to Kings Heath in the Midland Combination Premier Division.

Town took a 19th-minute lead, Jon Gregory heading home Dean Emer-son's cross. Simon Brain shot the second on 40 minutes, and on the stroke of half-time James Preece volleyed home Paul Concannon's cross.

Mark Cartwright scored a consolation for the home side late on.

A weakened County Sports went down 3-0 at Coventry Sphinx. Carl Fairhurst came closest for Sports with a shot straight at the 'keeper.

In the West Midlands League Premier Division tonight, Westfields visit Kington Town and Wellington are at home to Bromyard Town. In the Hellenic League Premier Division, Pegasus Juniors entertain Fairford Town (all 7.45).
