A MASSIVE multi-million pound three-year spending programme which includes a number of new projects in the town is set to be given the green light on Monday.
Redditch Council's shopping list includes the allocation of £600,000 to buy and transform St John Fisher Fisher First School into a community facility.
Up to £1 million has been set aside to be used towards the transformation of Abbey Stadium into a huge sports, leisure and entertainment complex.
And £500,000 has been put towards a grand 'showground' in the town, which will be used to stage outdoor concerts and events.
The installation of CCTV cameras in town shopping centres, Christmas lights, the Palace Theatre, disabled access and play areas have all been highlighted for money.
And for the first time, the council is set to spend more than £1 million on refuse equipment such as litter picking machines.
The money has come from the huge Focus on the Future shake-up, which resulted in the council becoming debt free and the release of £60 million from the Government.
