A BOOK of condolences has been opened in Droitwich Spa to give residents an opportunity to send heartfelt messages to the USA.
Mayor and Droitwich Spa town councillor Maureen Lawley (Con, Droit.Central) opened and signed the book on Friday morning.
She said: "This horrific disaster has touched everyone. My husband and I have friends in New York and it has been a very worrying time.
"I hope residents will spare five minutes to send a message of peace and love to America."
The book will be in the tourist information centre at St Richard's House, Victoria Square, between 10am and 4pm from Monday to Saturday.
The council plans to send it to the USA.
