SKIPPER Ian Wright is missing for Hereford United's Nationwide Conference home clash with Yeovil Town tonight (7.45) after limping out of the Bulls' 2-2 draw with Morecambe at the weekend.

Director of Football, Graham Turner, now has a total of seven players out with injury and striker Daniel Davidson also missing through suspension following his sending off during his full debut in the 2-2 draw at Margate.

Turner has been pleased with his team's last three performances but says they need three points to stay in touch with the league's leaders.

The Glovers, who narrowly missed out on promotion last season under the leadership of former Bulls' manager, Colin Addison, halted a losing sequence of three defeats on Saturday when they drew 2-2 with Scarborough.

"The performances have improved considerably in the last few matches but we need a win to give us a lift," said Turner.

"You cannot go too long without winning games but we've had two tough away matches.

"Yeovil are a decent side and they will be a challenge for us.

"They have got some good players with a lot of experience and we are looking forward to it after three reasonable performances.

"We always have good games with them and now there is a challenge for players who are coming in to prove themselves."

Wright's groin injury is set to keep him out for a couple of matches and Turner said the strength of his captain would be missed at the back.

"His physical presence will be missed but it is up to others coming in to respond to the challenge," he said.

Trialist Jake Sedgemore, who replaced Wright after 36 minutes, has yet to win a contract but Turner felt he did OK on Saturday.

"He's played quite a few games but is still on trial," said Turner.

Goalkeeper Matt Baker, who also struggled with an injury at the weekend, is expected to be fit.
