BIRMINGHAM City will be aiming to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Kevin Keegan's Manchester City when they entertain First Division leaders Burnley at St Andrew's tonight.

Burnley, four points claer at the top, will prove a test for Trevor Francis's men but the Blues' boss is confident they will respond.

"We have got strong, honest characters in our dressing room, they've proved it in the past and they know what is expected of them against Burnley," he said.

Francis is set to make changes with Nicky Eaden doubtful and Stan Lazaridis set to return.

West Bromwich Albion will be looking to make it three wins on the trot when they entertain Preston at the Hawthorns tonight.

Boss Gary Megson has been boosted by the capture of Nottingham Forest's Andy Johnson and has also been buoyed by the performances of young striker Scott Dobie.

Dave Jones' Wolves travel to Gillingham tonight with new striker Nathan Blake eager to add to his debut goal against Stockport on Saturday.

But Alex Rae will not be part of the squad as the midfielder bids to reach a settlement with Sunderland before his £1m move to Molineux can be finalised.
