REGARDING your report last week (Evening News, September 8) the plans I have seen at the Firs Sheltered Housing Kempsey, consists of nine new bungalows placed in what at the moment is an orchard at the back of the main complex.
If these are meant for disabled people, then parking blocks at the back are too far from the bungalows. The bedrooms are too small for wheelchair users.
There are also alterations to the main original house in that there are four flats designed for professional people from Worcester. Does this mean doctors and nurses?
Are the bungalows, at the back meant for retired people or professional people from Worcester? This means people coming and going at all hours day and night, parties likely and so on, in what is meant to be a retirement complex or people wanting peace and quiet.
There is also another ground floor flat proposed in the old house, cutting off access for two existing outside flats, plus extra parking bays and one planted right outside a patio window spoiling a lovely view.
HEATHER KELLY,
The Limes, Kempsey.
