CHAMPIONS Kington signed off their superb season in style when they hit more than 400 runs in a landslide victory.

Worcester Nomads went down by 280 runs as Kington's Clive Scott (86) and Aussie Craig Jones (59) shone in Division One of the Worcestershire County Cricket League.

After smashing 405 all out, the Kington attack then dismissed the home team for 125 as the champagne corks began to pop for the Herefordshire side.

The result almost certainly condemns Nomads to relegation.

Meanwhile, Pershore's dismal end of season form continued whey slipped to their fourth defeat in five games at Droitwich Spa in a seven-wicket loss.

Droitwich skipper, Ian Duggan, won the toss and asked the visitors to bat on a damp, green wicket.

He made full use of his varied attack, with only Phil Oxley (49) and John Brookes (17no) showing the necessary application for the visitors who were bowled out for a disappointing 129.

Karl Goddard returned excellent figures of 4-10 from 9.1 overs.

In reply and, despite loosing a wicket in the first over, Droitwich were never troubled and a stand of 69 between South African, Wes Euley (59no) and Nigel Haddock (15no) saw them home in 28.3 overs.

Euley's undefeated innings enabled him to average over 100 in Saturday league games this season, and helped Spa leap-frog Pershore to take third place.

Luctonians finish fifth after a 94-run defeat of Netherton, while Old Elizabethans took sixth place following a losing draw in a high-scoring clash with runners-up Pedmore.

Bromyard had the better of a draw with Chaddesley Corbettm while Bewdley steered clear of danger with an 81-run victory over Lye.
