THE Hull Truck Theatre Company is returning to Worcester's Swan Theatre later this month with September in the Rain.
Hull Truck, home of hits such as Bouncers, Up 'n' Under and Teechers, is celebrating its 30th birthday. Since 1971, it has carved out an outstanding reputation as one of the innovators of British contemporary theatre.
With acclaimed director and writer John Godber at its helm, the company has established itself as one of the major producing and touring houses of the country, and has won accolades the world over for its unique brand of gritty humour.
It has provided high-quality theatre for tens of thousands of people every year and creates plays which go on to be performed season after season in regional theatres around the country.
September in the Rain is a classic John Godber comedy, an award-winning bitter sweet comedy charting the frustrations and joys of an ordinary marriage.
Eamonn Fleming and Fiona Wass take the lead roles.
September in the Rain runs from Monday, September 17, to Saturday, September 22 at 7.30pm. There is a matinee performance at 2.30pm on Thursday, September 20.
Tickets are £7 to £14.50, on 01905 27322.
