REGARDING the late Major (Mac) Morrell who sadly recently passed away, he was truly a gentleman held in very high esteem.
Mac served during the Second World War and was commissioned as Captain rising to the rank of Major.
He played a large part in Claines Royal British Legion where he held various positions.
A very versatile man, he was a man of quiet disposition who could be approached for help and information at any time.
Contribution
No doubt the men who served under him, as well as the many who knew him, could only refer to him as an officer and a gentlemen.
God bless his widow Vera and the family. I thank them for allowing me to write this small contribution to a man worthy of it.
RAY LAYLAND, Claines, Worcester.
