MALVERN Ramblers entertained Victoria & Blakeley Hall and emerged comfortable six wicket winners at Regency Road.

The visitors batted first and scored a creditable 170, Roden just missed out on a well deserved 50 when he was run out for 47. Rob Francis was the most successful bowler with 4-28, off a shortened run. Steven Carter took two wickets, alternating between spin and seam while Steve Davis claimed three wickets with his vicious leg breaks.
Keith Williams and Mark Baugh opened the batting for the Ramblers. Baugh, who had got off the mark with a superb six over long off dominated the partnership of 26 before Williams fell. David Arnold came to the wicket and played some good shots before falling for 17, to leave Ramblers on 68-2.
But from that moment Malvern took control of the game with the excellent partnership of 100 between Sam Peachey and Baugh. Peachey, playing some glorious cover drives while Baugh was particularly severe on anything short.
Baugh, retired on 86 and Peachey was dismissed immediately after reaching his 50 but Malvern cruised home with three overs to spare.
