STRATFORD Council may have to find thousands of pounds to defend itself after turning down a planning application in Haselor.
The owner of Lower Barn Farm applied to change the use of redundant buildings for storage and distribution but the council said this would be detrimental to the area.
It also ruled the size and number of heavy goods vehicles likely to be used would be out of character with the tranquil setting of the area and turned down the application.
But the owner, Mr Gray-Cheape, appealed against the decision and an inquiry was held in May.
