Hero flung from motor

A MAN in his sixties was thrown from a moving car after two women stole it from a neighbour's drive in Wythall.

The two women, in their twenties, were seen acting suspiciously at about 7pm on Monday, September 3, in Shawhurst Lane before breaking glass was heard.

A man went to investigate to find the women had stolen the keys to a Renault Laguna from his neighbour's house.

As the women were about to drive off, the man flung himself into the passenger door which was still open and tried to tackle them.

But he was thrown out as the car swung out of the drive, dragging him a short distance and leaving him with cuts and bruises.

But police did not recommend other people to tackle thieves in a similar situation.

The women are described as white and of slim build. One was about 5ft 2ins tall with dark shoulder length hair in a ponytail. She was wearing dark trousers and a beige tight fitted jacket.

The other was about 5ft 5ins with brown collar length hair and was wearing dark clothing.
