Kidderminster Harriers Ladies were on the losing end of a 6-4 scoreline after a thrilling game with Loughborough Students.
Harriers went into the half-time interval 5-1 down, Julie Freeman scoring their only goal in the 21st minute following a scramble.
In the second half, Harriers had all the play and fought back valiantly.
Freeman ran onto goalkeeper Jones' long kick and finished off from just inside the box on 65 minutes.
And Harriers reduced the deficit again when Freeman converted Tracey Evans' cross in style.
The same player scored a fourth soon after for her eighth goal in two games.
However, the students struck the killer blow when a cross-shot went in off the back post.
Fixture, Sunday: Spatford v Harriers (leaving Harriers at 11.30am). Squad: Jones, Brabbing, Freeman, Fowler, Hyde, Evans, Holmes, Decker, Pollard, Haswell, Stokes, Sharp, Scott, Manning, Haigh.
