REDDITCH superbikes outfit Team Legs 11 have a race against time to be ready for their home meeting at Mallory Park after a disaster in testing.

Team owner Dave Worthington took his team to the new Rockingham track for testing last week and departed with the dubious honour of becoming the first team to crash there.

Wimbledon-based rider Kelvin Reilly had a bad smash on the oval circuit but is ready to compete at the weekend if Worthington can cobble together or borrow a bike.

Reilly damaged a kneecap, suffered a deep gash below his knee and cuts to the leg but Worthington's biggest worry is putting a bike together.

After crashing at Brands his mechanics were bolting together a machine from the main and reserve engines but the task has become stiffer after the latest setback.

Reilly is battling to stay focused because his dad is being held in a German hospital after a 100mph crash at the Nurnberg Ring.

Kelvin was set to jet between London and Germany this week after his dad had a badly broken collar bone and broken ankle pinned.

ASTWOOD Bank's Andy Tinsley had a less eventful time testing on the same circuit.

And he is aiming for a top ten finish at his local track, albeit on his first outing on the bike.
