MEMBERS of the Royal Air Forces Association will take to the streets of Kidderminster for a Battle of Britain collection and parade.

The RAFA collection is on Saturday and funds raised will go towards the work of the organisation.

It will be followed on Sunday by the annual Britain of Britain parade which will include an invitation to other ex-service organisations.

Those taking part will muster at New Road, Kidderminster, at around 10.30am before parading through the town to St Mary and All Saints Church. There will be a service outside the war memorial at 11am and a shorter service inside the church.

The parade will set off back to New Road at about 11.30am when the salute will be received by the mayors of Kidderminster, Bewdley and Stourport.

In addition to providing comradeship, the association also provides a welfare and advice service.

The Kidderminster RAFA branch is at Market House, New Road, and has a social club. Details are available from Kidderminster branch general secretary Bryan Jarvis 01562 752182.
