RUGBY star Jeremy Guscott will wing his way through Kidderminster as part of a marathon fund-raiser next month.

The former England and British Lions winger is hiking 800 miles to raise £250,000 for the Leukaemia Research Fund. Jeremy Guscott gets set for a charity trek.

Celebrities including Gary Rhodes, Paul McKenna and Matthew Pinsent have all backed the Tetley's Trek which begins on October 12.

More than £60,000 has been donated before Jeremy's first stride ahead of the 29-day trek - the equivalent of a marathon a day.

He is hoping the challenge is well supported by Wyre Forest folk when he passes through Kidderminster's Dixon Street, Oxford Street and Mill Street on Monday, October 15. The Worcester to Alveley stretch will take him through Kidderminster and Shatterford.

Jeremy said: "I'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to the hundreds of people who have already sent donations. Everything is welcome, no matter how small or large, and I look forward to meeting folk in Kidderminster."
