A DISUSED shop in Kidderminster town centre is to be transformed into an amusement arcade.
Work is set to begin on premises at a former computer software shop at 18 Coventry Street after Wyre Forest District Council's licensing and environmental committee agreed to Paul Udall's bid for a Gaming Act permit.
Mr Udall runs arcades in Coventry and Evesham and wants to expand his business into Kidderm-inster.
Police gave the thumbs up to the plan and the council's environmental health manager John Clifford said noise would not be heard outside the premises as part of a condition imposed with planning permission for the scheme.
Entry to the arcade will be limited "strictly" to over-18s.
