RUGBY: Stourport beat Dudley/Kingswinford thirds 17-10 in a friendly on Saturday before Saturday's cup visit to Bromyard.
They settled quicker and took the lead on 10 minutes through Richard Woodwood-Smith after good work from the pack.
Richard Dorrell converted to give a 7-0 lead before extending the score-line with a penalty.
Just before half-time, Dudley scored their only try of the match which they duly converted.
After coach Ron Hobbs made a few changes, Stourport's pack began to show its power, winning four balls against the head in the scrum.
With 15 minutes left, Les Pymm scored with a push-over try and Dorrell converted.
Front-row Melvyn Bourne, who has been playing at second-team level, made an impressive debut.

Captain Bob Charnock was delighted with their victory as they dominated Dudley from the start.
Led by John Connolly and Victor Little in the second row, they were never going to be beaten.
Thirteen-point scrum-half Steve Griffin provided the pacey backs with quality ball, while Andy Bourne was man of the match with two tries.
Other try scorers: Little 2, Alan Blakely, Phil Randle, Mark Yates.
