I STRONGLY object to any proposed plans to remove the disabled parking in the Bull Ring, Kidderminster, especially for such a ridiculous scheme as bus stops.
The access there for cars and vans is difficult enough now, without buses coming into it. Under threat? disabled parking in the Bull Ring.
If someone were to be employed to ensure that these spaces were used by genuinely disabled people, not someone using someone else's card for their own convenience, it would make life a bit easier for those of us who are desperately trying to be as independent as possible.
As it is, if I want access to shops near the Bull Ring, or anywhere else for that matter, I have to leave my house at 8am to make sure that I can get a parking space.
Disabled people are already having to accept more and more limits in their daily life, without being treated as second class people.
Would consideration be too much to expect?
