IT was a disappointing afternoon for Chaddesley Corbett at Leominster Town as the hosts won 4-1 in West Midlands League Division One South.

After the previous week's success, a much-changed Chaddesley took the field with keeper Anthony Shuck and midfielder Andy Birch making their debuts.

There were recalls for Andy Potter, Ashley Phillips and Richard Burton to the starting line-up.

Leominster, under the new management of former Aston Villa player Mark Jones, were an improved outfit from last season's side.

They took the game to Chaddesley from the kick-off, restricting the visitors to rare breakaways.

After an onslaught, Christopher Price put the home side ahead and Chaddesley's Alex Kilgour, Damien Ash and Phillips were booked as they struggled to stay in the game.

A penalty decision was given against Chaddesley but Ashley Botwood shot tamely wide.

Five minutes before the break, the match was turned upside down when Stuart Jordan knocked the ball down in a Chaddesley attack and Kilgour powered it home.

Chaddesley appeared to have the upper hand after the interval and Phillips had the goal at his mercy but hit the post, while Stuart Jordan mis-hit a shot while well-placed.

Leominster regained control when Phil Stokes put them back in front and Chaddesley fell apart with Kilgour being sent off for dissent.

Further goals from Botwood and Adrian Bennett sealed victory for Leominster.

For Chaddesley, Gavin Knight had a superb game.
