ATHLETICS: THERE were personal bests galore as members of Amazing Feet RC took part in the new National 10km race in Cheltenham.

One of the latest club members Lloyd Wright followed up his half-marathon debut by knocking five minutes and 16 seconds off his previous 10km best.

He finished 399th in 45 minutes 2 seconds.

Nicola Beecroft smashed her best by over two minutes to finish 446th in 46-12.

John Amos (179th in 37-25) and Irene Sanders (857th in 55-46) knocked six and five seconds respectively off their records. Eddie Sanders finished 196th in 38-02.

Richard Baker stayed closer to home, recording 58-46 in the Walsall 12km event.

Les Jones, in his 81st marathon, and Craig Freeman recorded 4 hours 16 minutes and 4-09 in the Wolverhampton Marathon.
