A KIDDERMINSTER nightclub which re-opened in July following a £40,000 revamp has closed its doors again with the loss of 20 jobs.

Owners Luminar Leisure Limited said Time, in Blackwell Street, had ceased trading on Saturday.

Luminar director Steve Dennis said the company was considering development options for the "landmark leisure site" to provide a "new quality entertainment venue."

The firm said it had been left isolated by a "customer shift across town" after it closed the club on June 16, but promised an exciting re-launch.

Speaking to the Shuttle/Times and News in July, manager Mark Stanford said he had "big, big hopes for Time".

Measures aimed at attracting clubbers back to the venue included the installation of a new £30,000 sound system and £10,000 worth of redecoration.

In a statement this week, Mr Dennis said: "Currently a number of options are being considered and the comments of people in Kidderminster sought."

Time opened in August 1997 following a £1 million refit of the former Flirtz club with the aim of attracting 850 capacity crowds.
