"TERRIFIED" wannabe artists have been invited to lose their inhibitions by joining a newly formed club for beginners.

The Art for the Terrified club already has 14 members and is based at the Cutting Korner hair salon in Park Lane, Kidderminster. Stephanie Connolly promotes the Art for the Terrified club.

It has been set up by friends Stephanie Connolly and Jo Lees, of Kidderminster, who have organised painting and drawing sessions for all kinds of art work.

People have an early chance to see what the fun is all about by viewing an exhibition of Stephanie's work, which is underway at Stourport Library and lasts until the end of the month.

Stephanie, who has been painting for about six years, said: "We will be doing all kinds of art work including landscapes, nudes and pastel work.

"Many folk are interested in art but aren't sure whether to pursue it, so we want to encourage them that whatever their ability may be. They are welcome to come and join us."

The club meets on Mondays between 6.30-8.30pm and further details are available by calling Stephanie on 07715 465975.
