A REVOLUTIONARY new shop run by people with learning disabilities has opened at Droitwich railway station.
Snax on Trax gives people who use Kingfields Centre day service invaluable experience in dealing with the public and running a business.
"We are getting them out into the community serving the public," said centre manager Sandra Hill.
Commuters also benefit from the facility, able to buy drinks and snacks not previously available at the station..
Delays in building work had postponed the opening, originally planned for the middle of July.
"The day service users have said they are enjoying it and we've had a number of customers who have asked if we will be selling other products," said Mrs Hill.
Snax on Trax is backed by Central Trains, with support from Worcestershire County Council's social services department, Worcester Lifestyles, Mencap and the NEW College.
