PEOPLE with relationship problems will be able to talk to a trained counsellor when a revolutionary project is launched in Redditch.
A Relate counsellor will be at Woodrow Clinic for two hours every Thursday from next week for a four-month trial period.
The move comes as part of a series of coffee mornings set up and funded by Redditch Council's Woodrow Alliance.
From 10am-noon, residents in Woodrow, Greenlands, Oakenshaw and Lodge Park will be able to just drop in and chat to the counsellor.
The council's neighbourhood development officer, Caz Joesbury, said: "The counsellor will be there to offer advice and information on anything at all.
''It might not be just about relationship troubles, it could be trouble with children or neighbours, financial worries or stress.
''There will be separate rooms available for privacy."
She added: "This is the first time we've tried something like this and if it works, we'll look to extend it."
Beat manager for Redditch south police sector, Pc Nev Patterson, will also be available to talk to residents during the ''coffee and confidence'' morning.
He said: "I'll be there to discuss any problems people may have and to listen to any comments they have about policing in the area."
