A CHARITY which supports people from Redditch and Bromsgrove is making a desperate plea for volunteers.
The Worcester branch of the Samaritans has launched an appeal to recruit additional volunteers after there was a sharp fall in numbers.
The branch currently operates with about 95 active volunteers but needs another 15 to fill the duty rota comfortably.
The charity offers a unique 24-hour service, 365 days a year for people in distress who feel they have nowhere else to turn.
For details about volunteering, call the Worcester branch on 01905 21121 or the national volunteer hotline on 08705 627282.
