BARLEY took on newcomers Riverside and it did not take them long to open the scoring when in-form striker Pat Nally was upended in the box and the ref pointed to the spot.

Barley Mow captain Kevin Mould stepped up and smashed home the spot kick.

The second goal came from midfield goalpoacher Paul Smith who made it two with a well taken goal.

Barley were on the back foot for the rest of the half and Riverside scored two goals to level the score at half time.

It was all Barley in the second half and they played some nice passing football. It paid of when Smith scored his second of the game with a well taken goal.

Barly were in control and on a role and they were awarded a corner. Derek Payne drove in a cross and Craig Robinson bravely headed home to make it four.

The last goal was well deserved for hard working Nally, when he latched on to a Darren Cook's though ball.
