A MAP showing every house in the Alvechurch parish in 1792 is just one of the relics on display at a series of open days this month.
Alvechurch Historical Society will also be exhibiting some of its collection of local photographs dating back to the 1860s, maps and documents accumulated over the fifty years of its existence.
The ancient map also shows each field, field name, its crop, owner and occupier.
There will also be a special display on what the village was like at the time of the 1881 census.
The open days take place on Saturdays, September 15 and 22 from 2.30-4.30pm and Wednesday, September 19 from 6.30-8pm at the society's School Lane premises.
Admission is free, refreshments will be provided and limited parking is available.
