Fairfield Sunday (0) 0

Black Horse (0) 2

Terry Cup round one

FAIRFIELD went out of the cup at the first hurdle against holders Black Horse.

The game started evenly and neither side created many openings in the first 30 minutes.

On 35 minutes Fairfield keeper Stuart Brookes was called into action to push an Andy Biddle shot around the post. Fairfield never really troubled the Black Horse defence in the first half.

The second half started with Fairfield playing better football, but they were caught out after 55 minutes when Michael Walker turned on the edge of the box before firing a low shot into the corner of the net.

Fairfield created a couple of half chances through Stuart Byng and Michael Cummings.

But after 80 minutes their defence was caught again when Ian Donagan headed home a cross from Walker.

Although Fairfield battled until the end they never really threatened Black Horse in the final stages.
