WORCESTER Wolves go into the new basketball season with four new signings on board.
The Wolves kick-off the new season in the new National League Division Two North on Sunday when they travel to face Dudley (4pm), and expect to have all the new faces on display.
The newcomers include local lad Rhys Hocking, who has looked very impressive in the Wolves' pre-season games.
Cecil Gordon, an experienced guard, has been brought in to help the younger players, while Ross Cooney, an 18-year-old from Brighton, is an exciting prospect who will be studying at University College Worcester, where the Wolves will again play all their home matches.
The fourth new face is Gareth France, who has represented England at all junior levels.
He is studying at Loughborough University and joins his brother Stuart, a key player last season, in the Wolves line-up.
The new format this season has seen Divisions Two and Three amalgamated into two regional divisions.
The Wolves, preparing for their second season in the National League, having finished second in Division Three last season, played pre-season games against Manchester, Bristol, Stoke and Swindon.
The Wolves went down to Stoke, but results were not really significant as it gave coaching staff the opportunity to look at the new players.
The Wolves go to Teeside on September 23. Their first home game is against Northampton on Saturday, September 29 at UCW (7pm).
