HEREFORDSHIRE have drafted in West Indian Test batsman Lincoln Roberts as they begin next year's Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy campaign in the second round against Suffolk at Bury St Edmunds tomorrow.
Roberts, from Tobago, played one Test against Australia two years ago and plays in the Birmingham League for Himley.
Star seam bowler Kevin Cooper's availability is in doubt so Rob Hughes stands by to replace him.
Herefordshire will be guaranteed a home tie against a first-class county next year if they win tomorrow. They are looking to emulate this season's performance, when they shocked Middlesex before going down to Worcestershire at New Road.
Suffolk are likely to include former Worcestershire coach Bill Athey in their side.
Herefordshire (from): Boroughs, Patel, Round, Nagra, Roberts, Davies, Dawood, Pearson, Thomas, Mason, Cooper, Hughes.
