WHEN the Redditch Review was introduced, I said a new state-of-the-art high school should be built on a greenfield site at Brockhill, financed by the sale of the Abbey and Bridley Moor sites, only to be firmly told that was illegal.
Yet, the sale of Christopher Whitehead High School to Tesco, which is offering to build a high school as a replacement, is under consideration in Worcester.
Bridley Moor was not the most popular school in Redditch when we moved to Webheath in January 1961.
Our three younger sons attended the school, all benefiting from the experience.
The facts are the fortunes of Bridley Moor and improvements in standards coincided with the developments on the western parts of Redditch.
May I suggest the time is long overdue for us all to give 110 per cent support to our new schools in every area of Redditch?
