IT'S full steam ahead for a revolutionary new shop at the town's train station.
A platform shop, serving drinks and snacks, has now opened and is being managed by Kingfields Day Service users.
The amenity gives people with learning difficulties the chance to experience a retail environment and provides refreshments at the station, off Ombersley Way.
Worcestershire County Council's social services department stumped up cash for the first 12 months and the Worcestershire Lifestyles charity has given business advice and will employ day centre users.
Additional support has come from NEW College, Droitwich Lions and Mencap.
The Snax on Trax shop opened on Wednesday September 5.
Kingfields, in Ledwych Road, is a day service for adults with learning disabilities.
