DISABLED shoppers could soon have designated parking spaces in Droitwich High Street.
Droitwich Spa town councillor Jan Bolton (Con, Droit.Central) wants spaces for disabled drivers marked out.
She made the suggestion at a council planning meeting on Monday September 3.
Cllr John Cook (Lab, Droit.West) welcomed the idea but queried whether it would be possible.
He believed parking spaces for the disabled have to be bigger than standard parking spaces.
Cllr Harry Hipkiss (Lab, Droit.West) said: "How many shops in High Street are actually accessible for disabled people?"
The council agreed to pursue the matter with Wychavon Highways Partnership Unit.
