I FEEL I must reply to H Ray's letter (You Say, September 3).

I have always owned a cat but have never had one that killed any birds or animals.

A black cat of many years ago would like to sit beneath the bird table but he would take no notice if a bird came to the ground.

My present big ginger Tom also only watches birds between naps in the sunshine. The birds take no notice of him, nor he of them.

The only creature that excites his interest is a small toad and that's only when it surprises him.

A WATSON,

Worcester
