BIDFORD folk came flocking to the Big Meadow as the village held its gala day on Monday.
The weather stayed dry and bright while the crowds enjoyed the animal corner, a fancy dress competition, welly-wanging, tug-o-war and a bonny baby contest, along with the usual stalls. The day was held to raise money for the village's Christmas lights and Sonia Blick, of the villages lights committee said about 2,500 people were there.
She said: "It was a brilliant day and so well attended. Everyone had a wonderful time."
