KIDDERMINSTER Harriers host their first Avon Insurance League Division Two match next Wednesday (7pm).
The reserves play Hartlepool United after visiting Hull City yesterday in their first game.
They lost 1-0 against strong opponents who had beaten Macclesfield 7-0 the previous week.
Stewart Hadley was denied by keeper Paul Musselwhite in the first half but the home side took the lead just before the interval.
Defender Matt Bloomer headed home an Ian Crutwell corner.
Harriers responded in a less entertaining second half with Mark Shail's header from a Tim Jackson corner well saved by Musselwhite late on.
Harriers: Murphy, Clarkson, Joy, Faulds, Sall, Shail, Doyle (Jackson 80), Lewis (Reeves 70), Hadley, Ducros (Heath 80), Corbett. Subs not used: Spencer, Barnett.
Meanwhile, the youth team visit Peterborough United on Saturday morning (11am).
