THIS is written with tongue-in-cheek, but I do think that our fair city is becoming a battle ground.

Our enemy is the brigade of elderly shoppers who wield bags on wheels causing much mayhem.

Have you ever seen a two or four-wheeled shopping bag on wheels sharply swung round in an arc as the charioteer changes her mind and direction?

It can leave injured sprawling on the floor in need of hospital treatment.

If I am to meet my end, I would rather be mown down by a push-chair.

At least one would have the opportunity to fall on a nice warm baby.
