BURGHLEY Horse Trials is giving local businesses with a chance to boost their sale figures following the foot and mouth outbreak.
Among local businesses with stands at the event, which begins today (Thursday), are Shaw to Shore from Evesham which sells vintage sporting/travel pieces, and Tim Hardy Ltd from Pershore, sellers of English leather goods.
The trials at Stamford, Lincolnshire, are Europe's biggest Three Day Event this year and run until Sunday.
The event brings in around 160,000 people over the four-day period who help to create a turnover in the trade stand area of around £4.5 million.
Tickets cost £7 although children aged 12 and under can enter free of charge, and discounts of more than 33% are available when purchasing advance tickets. For further information, visit the Burghley website at www.burghley-horse.co.uk.
