EVESHAM United goalkeeper Damien Beattie has signed for Dr Martens Premier Division outfit Hinckley United.
The Aussie stopper had been expected to sign for the Robins' rivals Solihull Borough but a flurry of calls has seen him move to the Leicestershire club.
Boss Phil Mullen was not happy with Solihull's handling of the situation. "Their keeper was injured in the last minute in our match and the next morning they made a seven day approach to Damien," he said.
"I wasn't too happy about the way they went about their business and I knew Hinckley were looking for a keeper.
"Needless to say Damien is delighted at the prospect of playing in a higher standard."
Meanwhile Hereford United goalkeeper Matt Baker has been banned for one match following his sending off in the Bulls' 2-0 defeat at Nuneaton Borough.
