I READ with interest Mr N Addison's letter (Shuttle/Times and News, August 23). Let me firstly assure Mr Addison and your readers that in no way is Worcestershire the best county council in England for best-kept roads.
In fact after eight years of Lib Dem and Labour rule at County Hall we are second from bottom out of 34 counties.
I have not seen the article Mr Addison referred to but perhaps a defeated Socialist wrote it?
The facts remain that all of Worcestershire roads are in a terrible state.
I write at least 12 letters a week complaining about potholes, blocked gullies and maintenance (or lack of it).
Let me assure everyone we will improve this situation over the next four years and if we don't you can throw us out like you did David Lock.
