OH what a joy it is to find car parks where I can park my car, that are easily accessible.

Am I talking about Kidderminster? I don't think so.

I am very disappointed to say this but over the last few months parking in Kidderminster has become a nightmare.

I have found it easier to take the car to Merry Hill. Or I go to Worcester where the council have used a bit of thought, with a park and ride scheme. Perhaps we could have one in Kidderminster.

The Government say that we should all have a green transport policy. However, being a wheelchair-user there are no local low-floor buses, except the 303 Kidderminster to Ronkswood, or the occasional one on the X33 Kidderminster to Redditch, so I am dependent on my car. Then, when I park, I need a space where I can unload my wheelchair.

This has become increasingly difficult when less thoughtful motorists, who are not disabled, park in these spaces.

On August 20 I managed to find a space on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park in Blackwell Street, Kidderminster, which are mostly reserved for disabled badge holders. However, most of the cars parked there were non-badge users. The majority were season ticket-holders, or people who think if they buy a parking ticket they can park in these reserved spaces.
